Housing for Female Scholar or Postdoc:
Looking for a Visiting International Female Scholar or Postdoc to share a luxury apartment in St. Paul with a 44 year-old professional female instructor at the University.
The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a giant living room space and is located on the 16th floor of a high-rise building. It has a MAGNIFICENT view of the Mississippi River and of the downtown Minneapolis skyline at night.
Rent would be approximately $650 a month plus utilities, not much different from a regular one-bedroom apartment near the University. Plus this apartment has a party room, exercise and sunroom on the 24th floor, an outdoor swimming pool, a meeting room, and a wonderful staff.
I do have a Persian cat and a Boxer dog, but they are very well behaved are well taken care of.
Laundry facilities are on the second floor of the building.
Transportation to the University is very easy, as it is very close to the Hiawatha Light Rail System (46th Street Station). Plus the apartment is centrally located in an area with a grocery store, coffee and tea shops, and easy access between Minneapolis and St. Paul.
I have been an English as a Second Language Instructor for 25 years and would welcome the opportunity to help you not only learn about Minnesotan culture, but also help you with spoken English if you are looking for English instruction.
