Korean Quarterly, a
non-profit newspaper of the Korean American community, will hold a charity 5K
run/walk event, the "KQ 5K Chusok Run/Walk" to be held Sunday October
4, 2 to 5:30 p.m. at Lake Phalen Park in St. Paul.
The event will feature a 5K fun run (or walk) around the lake, Korean food,
games and entertainment, including Korean music/drumming and some
break-dancing. There will be drawings, raffle and auction items, and
Korean-oriented books, CDs and other items to buy. For kids, we'll have some
Chusok games and crafts. We have autographed items from the Minnesota
Vikings and Minnesota Twins to auction off. A $30 minimum registration
fee includes a fleece hoodie sweatshirt (while supplies last) or tee-shirt. (A
$15 minimum student registration fee gets you a nice Korean Quarterly t-shirt)
