I'm a University of Minnesota student researching the historical and cultural significance of alcohol and drug use and abuse within the Asian American community. I'm looking to interview someone who specializes in counseling or giving treatment to Asian Americans going through drug or alcohol addictions.
For example, Native Americans used tabacco in a peace pipe for cultural celebrations, and some European relgions use wine during mass to represent the blood of christ. Are there an Asian culturally significant drug or alcohol practices?
Thank you and email me any information you have!
