This open house event will raise awareness and sign up prospective donors for Will Dickes, a 13-year-old Korean adoptee from Rochester, MN who has leukemia and will need a bone marrow donation to stop this disease.

There will be refreshments (we hope for Korean appetizers) plus some entertainment in a short program at 1:30 p.m. See the studio, network and try out some drumming with the Chang-Mi and Shinparam groups.

Staff from Be the Match, the national bone marrow donor registry will be there to take samples (with a very ouchless cheek swab), do short health histories, and sign up people to potentially "be the match" for Will. Each registrant's name goes on a national registry for prospective donors for bone marrow recipients nationwide. This is an opportunity to be a life-saving donor for Will or some other leukemia patient. Plus there will be fun treats and music!

Do some spooky things that night, but on Halloween day, do a really good thing for Will and your community, and sign up to Be the Match!

The most likely match for Will is another ethnic Korean person. But everyone (age 18 to 60) is welcome to this event and encouraged to be matched for the registry.
